Only 30 for India! Mercedes launches ₹3.35 crore Maybach S 580e four-seater

Mercedes-Benz has launched the Maybach S 580e plug-in hybrid in India at ₹3.35 crore ex-showroom, bringing electrified power to its ultra-luxury Maybach range for the first time. But exclusivity comes built into the price: only 30 units will be available at launch.

585 Horsepower

This Maybach is not trading performance for electrification. Its 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine and electric motor together produce 585hp and 750Nm, sending power to all four wheels through 4MATIC. It can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds.

98km Electric

The S 580e can cover up to 98km on electric power alone, according to its WLTP certification. Its 22kWh usable battery also allows electric driving at speeds of up to 140 kmph, while AC charging is supported at 11kW and DC charging at 60kW.

Four Seats

Luxury takes priority over passenger count inside the India-spec S 580e. The Maybach is offered exclusively as a four-seater, with individual executive rear seats, a full-length business console, wireless charging and temperature-controlled cup holders.

Despite its enormous size and performance, Mercedes-Benz claims a weighted combined WLTP fuel efficiency of 34.48 kmpl. The car also gets a 31-speaker Burmester 4D audio system, 15 airbags, Level 2 driver assistance and rear-axle steering of up to 10 degrees.
