Luxury Arrival
VinFast is preparing to bring the VF9 to India, and this is no small electric SUV. At around 5.1 metres long, the three-row EV is positioned as a premium offering that could enter India’s luxury EV space with a serious road presence.

Massive Battery
The VF9 packs a 123kWh battery, considerably larger than what many mainstream EVs in India offer. Combined with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, the setup gives the full-size SUV the hardware to compete in the premium electric segment.

Power Punch
The numbers are aimed squarely at performance-focused buyers. The VF9’s dual-motor setup produces up to 402hp and 620Nm of torque, giving this large three-row SUV plenty of firepower while retaining the practicality of an electric family vehicle.

Range Promise
Globally, the VF9 is claimed to deliver up to 626km on a single charge, depending on the configuration and testing cycle. That figure could make range anxiety less of a concern for buyers considering a large premium EV for long-distance travel.

Fast Charging
VinFast says the VF9 supports DC fast charging, with the battery capable of reaching around 70% charge in roughly 35 minutes. For a 123kWh battery pack, that charging capability could be one of the SUV’s biggest selling points for Indian buyers.

India Push
VinFast is already building momentum in India, with around 2,200 electric vehicles reportedly registered in August, placing it fourth in the market. The company is also shifting focus towards local production, signalling bigger ambitions beyond its initial EV offerings.
