The Mahindra BE 6 — one of the most popular electric SUVs in India and a key reason Mahindra holds second position in the Indian EV market — is expected to receive a significant yearly model upgrade, with new interior technology and ergonomic improvements coming soon.

Mahindra traditionally launches new models, reveals concepts and announces strategy on August 15 every year. The upgraded BE 6 is expected to debut on the same day alongside the Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift 2026 and the new Mahindra Vision S.

The biggest interior change is a new triple-screen display layout — similar to the setup already seen on the Mahindra XEV 9E and XEV 9S. The outgoing BE 6 currently uses a dual-display setup with two 12.3-inch screens in a black and grey theme.

Along with the triple screen, the brand is expected to introduce ergonomic adjustments to the cabin and a new interior theme — freshening up what is already considered one of the most feature-rich interiors in the Indian EV segment.

The powertrain is expected to remain unchanged. The BE 6 will continue with a 59 kWh battery (556 km claimed range) or a 79 kWh battery (683 km claimed range). The rear-axle electric motor produces 286 hp and 380 Nm — unchanged for the updated model.
