Expert estimates for the total cost range from a low of $10 million to well over $20 million, depending on the source. Security, entertainment, venue rental and catering all add up quickly when your wedding is at the world's most famous arena.

Rates for booking Madison Square Garden run from $1 million to $2 million per day, according to Today. That's just the baseline. Insurance, staging crew buyouts and the rumoured construction of luxury bathrooms for celebrity guests push costs significantly higher.

CNN reports that the couple want a "hermetically sealed environment" away from paparazzi and stalkers. Security alone could top $1 million to $2 million per day, with multiple sources confirming this is one of the event's biggest single costs.
