

Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi continues tofly high at the box office. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted that thefilm has raked in Rs 57.10 crore as it enteres the third week at the boxoffice.
"#DearZindagi is nearing Rs 60 cr mark... [Week 2] Fri 2.25cr, Sat 3.50 cr, Sun 4.35 cr. Weekend 2: Rs 10.10 cr. Total: Rs 57.10cr." tweeted the trade expert.
Earlier Adarsh did affirm how the fate of the film at thebox office would be determined based on it's earnings in the second week.
From the numbers it has minted, looks like this film willemerge as Alia's hit. In the first week of Dear Zindagi, the total box officecollections were reported to be Rs 47 crore.
Released on 1200 screens, with a budget not more than of 30crore, Dear Zindagi has already earned profits for its makers. The filmhas made Rs 100 crore worldwide.
So far, the film is still hanging under the 'average' tag.It is speculated that the film might falter a bit because of Vidya Balan'sKahaani: Durag Rani Singh, that released last Friday. Vidya's film has made adecent collection at the box office in its first three days.
The Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal starrer witnessed pooradvance booking and opened to average response with its occupancy rangingbetween 25 to 35 per cent in the morning and afternoon shows on Friday. But inthe evening shows, it witnessed a decent growth and collected Rs 4.25 crore onthe day of its release.The film broke the opening day record of Kahaani, whichhad raked in Rs 2.51 crore.
The Sujoy Ghosh directed movie bagged mixed response fromaudience and critics and the word of mouth boosted its collection on Saturday.Kahaani 2 witnessed 36.24 per cent growth on the second day and collected Rs5.79 crore at the box office. The film showed further improvement with itscollection reaching Rs 6.71 crore on the third day.
Kahaani 2 was released on 1,235 screens. The movie hassmashed the opening weekend record of Kahaani, which collected Rs 13.83 crorein the domestic market.
Written by Sujoy Ghosh, Kahaani 2 failed to impress audiencethe way its predecessor Kahani did. Kahaani 2 isn't a sequel but it's a storyin a similar vein. It centres on a steadfast leading lady who goes against allodds to find a missing family member - in this case it is her wheelchair-boundteenage daughter.
