Stock markets to remain closed from October 2-6

The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index Sensex fell 0.23 per cent, or 62.52 points, to end at 26,567.99 on Wednesday.

The stock market will be closed from Thursday to Monday, with trading to resume on Tuesday, on account of Gandhi Jayanti on Thursday, Dussehra on Friday and Bakrid on Monday.

The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index Sensex fell 0.23 per cent, or 62.52 points, to end at 26,567.99 on Wednesday. The broader National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty lost 0.24 per cent, or 19.25 points, to end at 7,945.55.
