Himmatwala collects Rs 26.5 crore at the box office in first weekend

Sajid Khan's latest release Himmatwala had an average first weekend, earning Rs 26.5 crore at the domestic box office.

The movie, which is an official remake of Himmatwala, stars Ajay Devgn and Tammannah.

Himmatwala's box office performance was better at single screen threatres as compared to the multiplexes. The film fared better in UP, Bihar and Central India markets.

Among other releases, Jolly LLB collected Rs 9 crore in its second week, taking its two week total to Rs 27 crore while Rangrezz pulled in Rs 6.25 crore in its first week. (Source: Boxofficeindia.com)
