Apple iPhone 6s gets expensive, price up by Rs 3,000

The retail price of the iPhone 6s 16GB has increased by Rs 3,000. Until a couple of days ago, the iPhone 6s 16GB was retailing for Rs 40,499 on Flipkart and between Rs 40,000 to Rs 41,000 on most of the ecommerce platforms and offline retail as well.

But now the price has increased and the same variant is now for Rs 42,999 on Flipkart and closet to Rs 43,500 in offline retail. This comes right after the announcement of the iPhone SE availability in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 39,000.

The iPhone 6s was launched in India in October last year for a starting price of Rs 62,000 but has been selling well since the price drop. One of our sources have confirmed that since the price of the iPhone SE of Rs 39,000 has been revealed, there has been an increased demand for the iPhone 6s.

Although there has not been any change in the dealer price of the iPhone 6s. A lot many people were waiting for the new iPhone to launch at a lower price. When it did not happen, they are now buying the iPhone 6s because of which shopkeepers, dealers and even online players have increased the price of all the variants of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and are selling it for more.

The recently announced iPhone SE is a 4inch iPhone with A9 chipset, 12MP iSight camera with Live Photos, fingerprint sensor and more. The only thing missing is the 3D touch. The iPhone SE is priced at Rs 39,900 for 16GB variant and will go on sale starting April 8.
