This video explores how Carrier, the global pioneer of modern air conditioning, is expanding its massive footprint in India with a landmark investment in Andhra Pradesh. From inventing the modern AC to becoming a $50 billion global leader, Carrier continues to redefine innovation and manufacturing excellence. At Sri City, one of India’s fastest-growing industrial hubs, this ₹1000 crore investment is set to transform the region further. The project is expected to generate nearly 3,000 local jobs, strengthening the state’s economy and reinforcing investor confidence in the leadership vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Sri City already stands as a global manufacturing powerhouse spread across 8,500 acres, hosting 250 companies from 31 countries and generating over $6 billion in exports. With 70,000 jobs created so far—half of them for women—it is a model for inclusive industrial growth. Andhra Pradesh is rapidly emerging as India’s “cool capital,” with 9 AC manufacturers and 30+ component suppliers already operating in the ecosystem. With over ₹12,000 crore invested in HVAC manufacturing, the region is building a strong supply chain. By 2027, Sri City is expected to produce 60% of India’s air conditioners, and with Carrier’s expansion, this could rise to 80% by 2028. This marks a new era for Make in India and Made in Andhra Pradesh.
