Chief Of Defence Staff On Modern Warfare: How AI, Drones, Grey Zone Conflict Are Changing War

Chief of Defence Staff General N. S. Raja Subramani explained how modern warfare is evolving beyond traditional battlefields at Aaj Tak Suraksha Sabha. He said the line between peace and war, and between conventional and non-conventional conflict, is increasingly blurred, with cyber activity, economic pressure, drones, information operations and proxy warfare creating a new “grey zone”. He also highlighted the growing role of AI, battlefield transparency and faster sensor-to-shooter cycles, saying future advantage will go to those who can see, understand, decide and act the fastest.
