Delhi's air quality has deteriorated sharply, with the AQI crossing 370 on Wednesday morning and several areas recording readings above 400 in the severe category. Dhaula Kuan, Ghazipur and Sunehri Bagh were among the worst-affected locations, while Noida and Gurugram continued to battle poor air quality. As the national capital struggles to breathe, a political blame game has erupted between Delhi and Punjab. Delhi Environment Minister Majinder Singh Sirsa blamed the Bhagwant Mann government, while the Punjab Chief Minister hit back. BJP and AAP leaders have also sparred over pollution levels and the role of stubble burning, with Diwali approaching and concerns growing over a further deterioration in air quality.
