External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar hailed the first India-Visegrad Four meeting as a historic and productive occasion. He said India and the V4 countries — Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia — agreed to explore special initiatives, including an annual business forum and yearly foreign ministers' meetings. Discussions also covered technology and innovation, defence cooperation, space, connectivity and people-to-people mobility. Jaishankar highlighted India's strong historical defence ties with the V4 nations and said New Delhi wants to further strengthen cooperation. The meeting also included exchanges on major global developments, including the Ukraine conflict and the situation in the Gulf.
