
Speaking at the NAREDCO Real Estate Conclave, Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of Hiranandani Group, stressed the need for stronger government-industry collaboration, better urban master planning, and large-scale skill development. He highlighted that India is already short of 2 million skilled construction workers, a gap that could widen to 5 million in the next four years. Hiranandani called for continuous learning among developers, greater adoption of innovation and technology, and accelerated self-reliance in manufacturing. He also emphasized green energy, sustainable transport, and creating world-class cities as India pursues its ambition of becoming a global economic leader.
