A powerful surge of devotion swept through Gujarat’s Somnath as Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the concluding day of Somnath Swabhiman Parv. From offering prayers at the Jyotirlinga to performing Rudra Abhishek, chanting shlokas with young monks, and playing the sacred damru, the Prime Minister immersed himself in bhakti. He also led the Shaurya Yatra, honouring those who sacrificed their lives defending the temple from Mahmud of Ghazni’s attack in 1026. Addressing a massive gathering, PM Modi hailed Somnath as a symbol of India’s unbreakable civilisational spirit and resilience.
