
At the India Today Roundtable Karnataka, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya criticised the Karnataka government’s proposed Bengaluru tunnel road project, questioning whether it will actually ease the city’s traffic congestion. Speaking to Akshita Nandagopal, India Today Group, Surya cited concerns over the project’s design, cost, toll structure and proposed land use around Lalbagh. He alleged that the project could worsen congestion and argued that public transport users may not benefit from it. Surya also raised concerns over the proposed diversion of park land and said he had submitted a memorandum to the Governor.
