
In a major boost to the education sector, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced significant welfare measures for the state's teaching community. Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CM Yogi announced that the honorarium for Shiksha Mitras has been increased from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000, and for instructors from ₹9,000 to ₹17,000. Furthermore, all teachers, staff, and midday meal cooks will receive a ₹5 lakh annual cashless health insurance cover. Emphasizing the 'Learning by Doing' model, the Chief Minister urged educators to foster a loving and creative learning environment, free from physical punishment, to build students' confidence and prepare them for a bright future.
