Auto Expo 2014: DC Design unveils Tia, Eleron

Automotive design firm DC Design on Wednesday unveiled two cars which will be available for sale in the country from 2016.

While the 'Eleron' is an open sports utility vehicle, the 'Tia' is a two-seater car for town use.

"We are looking to sell 500 units per annum of Eleron and and 1,000 units per annum of Tia after its launch in 2016. We have invested Rs 50 crore each for the production of the two models so far and are looking at further investments in the coming time," DC Design Founder Dilip Chhabria told reporters  at the 12th Auto Expo.

The two cars were unveiled by Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.

He also said the company is looking at manufacturing 2,000 units per annum of 'Avanti', which was launched two years ago, starting from the third quarter of this year. It has invested over Rs 85 crore for this model.

The company was founded in 1993. It has an over 700-strong portfolio of unique cars/vehicles built and on the road.
