AirAsia India to start flying from June 12, says Tony Fernandes

AirAsia Bhd CEO Tony Fernandes has said the Malaysian carrier's Indian joint venture will start flying from June 12.

AirAsia India will open ticket sales from Friday, Fernandes said in a Twitter message.

The low-cost airline, a joint venture between Fernandes' AirAsia Bhd, Tata Sons and Telestra Tradeplace, received a flying permit from the aviation regulator this month.
