Ten minutes earlier
A small timing change could make a big difference for passengers travelling from Varanasi. From September 2, 2026, the Varanasi-Ranchi Vande Bharat will leave at 3:55 pm instead of 4:05 pm. Those arriving at the station at the old time could risk missing the train.

Morning rush
Passengers taking the Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat will also need to reset their morning plans. From September 2, the train will depart Varanasi at 6:10 am instead of 6:20 am. There will be no change to its timings at stations beyond Varanasi.

Six-day run
The Varanasi-Ranchi Vande Bharat operates six days a week, with Tuesday as its weekly off day. Covering 536 km in around 7 hours and 50 minutes, the service offers a faster option for passengers travelling between the two cities.

Eight stops
The Varanasi-Ranchi Vande Bharat covers eight stations on its journey: Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Sasaram, Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh Road, Parasnath, Bokaro Steel City and Muri. With the new departure time, passengers will need to plan their boarding accordingly.

Fare gap
Passengers travelling between Varanasi and Ranchi can choose between AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. The AC Chair Car fare is ₹1,470, while the Executive Chair Car costs ₹2,695, giving travellers a clear choice between price and a more premium seating option.
