The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development or NIESBUD, running under the MSME Ministry, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Finance Corporation (an arm of the World Bank).

This is a joint initiative for entrepreneurship development in India. Virbhadra Singh, the MSME minister, said the collaboration will help create a cadre of MSME trainers to impart necessary business skills to entrepreneurs.

During the current fiscal, the NIESBUD trained 4 lakh people and the ministry has set a target of training 6 lakh people during the next fiscal.
