Honda QC3 promises 145km for ₹1.35 lakh, but only five Indian cities get the electric scooter first at launch

Honda has priced the QC3 at ₹1.35 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Its first phase covers Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam through selected RedWing dealerships. Bookings are open for ₹5,000, while a nationwide rollout is planned in phases. Honda had not specified the delivery start date in the launch reporting.

The QC3 uses a fixed 3kWh battery that owners charge through the scooter, whereas the Activa e: uses two removable 1.5kWh packs built around Honda's battery-swapping system. The QC3 therefore suits riders with dependable access to a charging point; it is not designed around swapping a depleted battery at a station.

Honda quotes a 145km certified IDC range for the launch version. Real range can change with rider and pillion weight, traffic, speed, acceleration, tyre pressure, temperature and use of connected equipment. Commuters should compare their daily round trip with a safety margin instead of assuming every full charge will deliver exactly 145km.

Honda's stated charging time is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes from empty to 80%, with a complete charge taking about four hours. That makes overnight home charging practical for many users, but apartment residents should confirm parking access, electrical permissions, socket requirements and installation costs before booking.

The QC3 offers 32 litres of under-seat storage, compared with 26 litres on the smaller QC1. Autocar notes that the Activa e:'s removable batteries take up much of its boot. A 32-litre figure is useful for comparison, but buyers should still carry their own helmet or daily bag to the dealership and test whether it fits.

The five-inch TFT instrument panel supports Honda RoadSync connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, and the scooter also includes a Smart Key. Colour choices are Matt Photon Gray Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Pearl Shallow Blue and Pearl Siren Blue. Buyers should remember that the ₹1.35-lakh figure excludes registration, insurance and other on-road charges.
