Reports published on November 1 and 2 describe rainwater accumulating at Maan Metro station before its opening. The account has brought attention to the station’s readiness, with questions raised about water entering the station area.

The station is part of Pune Metro Line 3, linking the Hinjawadi area with Shivajinagar. PMRDA lists the elevated corridor at 23.203km with 23 stations, designed to serve the IT park and surrounding areas.

PMRDA awarded the project to a venture involving TRIL Urban Transport and Siemens Project Ventures. Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited was established to undertake the line, which follows a design, build, finance, operate and transfer model.

The cited reports raise questions about water ingress but do not establish its technical cause or a structural safety finding. An assessment from the project authorities would be needed to explain what happened and any corrective work required.
