Vedanta shares close over 4% lower on BALCO mill shutdown
Balco, owned by Vedanta Group, has announced that it will close the
aluminium rolling mill in Chhattisgarh by December due to a slump in
metal prices and high energy costs.

Shares of Vedanta fell 2.48 per cent in the morning trade after BALCO, owned Vedanta Group, announced that it will close the aluminium rolling mill in Chhattisgarh by December due to a slump in metal prices and high energy costs.
BALCO is an aluminium company which was taken over by Vedanta Resources in 2011.
Shares of the company closed 4.06 per cent lower at Rs 96.90 apiece on BSE.
