While we will have more information about this new smartphone in the coming two weeks, the buzz on the Internet indicates that it will be the Moto E featuring a 4.2-inch 720p display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage, a 5 megapixel camera, and a 1900mAh battery.

Interestingly, the focus of the global players too is shifting towards the low-end segment of the curve. Recently, HTC announced Desire 201 for Rs 8,700. Even Sony has launched the Xperia E1, a dual SIM phone for Rs 8,200. As the Motorola's upcoming smartphone will be priced for all, it might stir this segment as it did with the Moto G.
With Motorola getting aggressive in the Indian market, this new phone might launch in India soon, too.
Motorola is holding a parallel event in New Delhi on May 13 where the company will talk about the new phone and its India launch plan. Motorola has shared an invite with Business Today.
