SpiceJet's 'travellight' fare starts at Rs 999

Budget airline SpiceJet on Monday launched a limited period offer for passengers travelling with hand baggage. Passengers travelling with hand (cabin) baggage only (maximum 7 kg of hand baggage per passenger, plus standard sized laptop bag or ladies purse) will be charged Rs 999 per ticket (all inclusive, one-way fare).

The sale will close on April 29, 2015. Travel period covered under this sale is July 1, 2015 to October 15, 2015, the airline said on its website.

Under the offer, 1.5 lakh seats are available on direct and onward flights on the airline's domestic network.

Those who want to carry more than a hand baggage on these fares, check-in baggage up to 15 kg will cost a flat Rs 750.
