Dell to sell laptops with Ubuntu OS in India

Canonical provides Ubuntu software free of cost but charges for the technical support if required by users.

Dell India will sell personal computers based on Ubuntu, the free operating system, in India.

Canonical, the sponsor of the Ubuntu project, said it has entered into an agreement with Dell to sell PCs loaded with the open source software.

The Ubuntu OS will be loaded on Dell laptops and netbooks.
