SICT to launch Android smartphones

IVK Mobile SICT will soon launch Android smartphones and tablets in the Indian market, themobileindian.com reported, quoting a top executive of the company.

Ashwini Kumar, the chief operating officer of the company, said that it will initially launch three models.

IVK Mobile SICT, a new entrant in the Indian market, is currently present in the feature phone market. IVK Mobile SICT aims to be among first five mobile companies in India and sell more than one million mobiles in next one year.

IVK Mobile SICT is a joint venture with SICT of China which ranks as one the largest manufacturer of mobile phones in China and fifth largest producer of mobile phone battery packs in the world.
