Microsoft has launched
Windows Phone 7.5, its latest version of Windows Phone operating system, in India.
Microsoft says that Windows Phone 7.5 software, which is also known as Mango, helps users to quickly find the information required and connect.
Reports said that HTC is planning to launch phones based on Windows Phone 7.5 as early as next week while Samsung is expected to launch handsets based on the same software next month, followed by launches from Acer and Nokia.
Vikas Arora, Group Director - Operator Channel, Microsoft, said, "Windows Phone is for people who are ready for a new phone experience, one that brings together the things you care about in a way that uniquely represents who you really are - whether at work or play."
In Windows Phone 7.5, the application icons have been replaced by Live Tiles on the start screen. The Live Tiles can be easily created by the user from whatever content a consumer wants, for applications, websites and music.
The phone also comes pre-loaded with Xbox LIVE and Windows Phone Office.
