Realme Band brings nine sports modes, colour display for Rs 1,499

Realme forayed into the wearable market of India with the launch of the Realme Band. The brand's first fitness band comes at an affordable price of Rs 1,499 and takes on the likes of Xiaomi's Mi Band 4 and Honor Band 5. Realme Band is one of the many devices that the brand will launch in the future as a part of a complete ecosystem. It will be available to buy during the Hate2Wait sale at 2 pm today on realme.com. The first regular sale of the band will begin on March 9 via realme.com, Amazon India website, and offline stores in India.

All the devices, including the fitness band, smartwatch, smart speakers among others, will be linked together via an app called Realme Link. The Realme Link is essentially a one-stop solution for all the Realme accessories, which also includes the recently launched Realme Buds Air. The Realme Link app is now available to download from the Google Play store and will work on all the smartphones.

The Realme Band comes in three colours Ink Black, Olive Green, and Light Yellow. The straps are interchangeable on the band. It comes with a 0.96-inch LCD colour non-touchscreen panel on the front. It has a resolution of 80x160 pixels. Since the display does not have a touch interface, Realme has given a single point capacitive touchpoint right below the display. The Realme Band has 4MB of flash memory and a 90mAh battery, which is rated to take less than 2 hours to fully charge and a life of about nine days without the heart rate function and six days with the function on.

Realme Band has nine sports mode - Cricket, yoga, running, walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, spinning, fitness. For health monitoring, the Realme Band comes with automated heart rate measurement, 24-hour real-time heart rate measurement, resting heart rate, exercise heart rate, sleep detection, steps throughout the day, calories, distance, water reminder, sedentary reminder. Other features include a clock, automatic screen orientation, weather forecast, and wear monitoring among others. The Realme Band is IP68 water and dust resistant as well.

At the launch event, Realme also announced the new Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro smartphones. The Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro come with a 90Hz display and four rear cameras. The Realme 6 starts at Rs 12,999 while the Realme 6 Pro is priced at Rs 16,999 onwards.
