Vi integrates VIC chatbot with Google Business Messages for consumer assistance

Vi has integrated its VIC Chatbot with Google's Business Messages to give assistance to Vi users on smartphones. The telco notes that this is an industry-first integration and will give 24x7 real-time customer service to Vi users. The AI-powered VIC is enabled with a live agent connect for assisted services which has now been extended to Google's Business Messages. Vi further noted that this will enable users searching for Vi or Vi Stores on Google Search or Google Maps to find 'Chat' or 'Message a Live Agent' button against search results through which they can interact with the virtual agent, VIC, to get their queries answered instantaneously.

Last year, Vi introduced the service chatbot on WhatsApp and recently integrated payment of bills and recharges on WhatsApp through VIC. VIC enables Vi customers to get instant response on a host of service requirements including bill payments, recharges, VAS, plan activation, new connection, data balance, bill requests among other things.

Users will be able to do their recharges and pay bills from any location and also through WhatsApp. The payments service will work for both postpaid and prepaid customers and will work across all payment gateways or UPI. Vi customers can recharge with any pack instantly in just two clicks using the virtual agent. Vi users will receive a link via SMS to make their payments and recharges using VIC. They can also experience the same by sending Hi on VIC number 96542 97000.
