Doctor Insta partners with pharmacies and diagnostic labs

Doctor Insta, the video medicine company is expanding its presence and has tied up with pharmacies and diagnostic labs in India allowing users to access necessary healthcare solutions without much hassle. The company has now tied up with Netmeds.com, BigChemist.com, Inayo.in, Zigy.com, Pluss.com and diagnostic labs such as Thyrocare and Metropolis. With these associations, the company claims to offer convenience to the user and also empowering them by offering assistance in ordering prescribed medicines, lab tests required through the brands partners helping them in getting home delivery of medicines and accessing lab diagnostic reports on their screens.

Applications are ruling the smartphone world and after offering a host of convenience services over the apps, it is now coming into the medical space as well. There have been apps suggesting the best doctors in your vicinity but Doctor Insta is yet another application that allows you to connect with a doctor instantly over a video call. The app aims to bridge the gap between doctors and patients by allowing them to connect over a video call anytime, anywhere, eliminating the need to rush to the clinic or the hospital and wasting time in the queue. Accessible from Android and iOS devices as well as the web, Doctor Insta is currently offering consultation in four segments -Medical, Pediatrics, Psychologist and diet and nutrition.

Doctor Insta charges Rs 400 per consultation for medical and pediatrics post which the patient receives an email prescription from the doctor that can be used to obtain over the counter drugs if needed.  The charges remain the same for a 30 minute session with a psychologist or with a dietician too. Currently, Doctor Insta has over 40 doctors onboard and claims to have over 4,000 registered users and 300,000 unique visitors on the site since its launch in late 2015.

Recently, Doctor Insta has received pre- series A funding of $500k from an entrepreneur-Angel Investor Rishi Parti and BrahmaX Ventures.
