TVS Motor appoints Sudarshan Venu as new Joint MD

Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor has appointed Sudarshan Venu as the Joint Managing Director with effect from September 10, 2014.

"Sudarshan Venu, whole-time director, has been appointed, subject to the approval of the shareholders in the next general meeting, as Joint Managing Director in the rank of Managing Director of the Company, effective September 10, 2014," the company said in a BSE filing on Wednesday.

Venu's appointment for the remaining period of his tenure is without any change in the terms and conditions of his appointment and remuneration, TVS added.

The company has also appointed Lakshmi Venu as the director.

Shares of TVS Motor were trading at Rs 225 apiece, up 0.36 per cent from its previous day's close on BSE.
