The latest AMFI data for May is out, and it's sending mixed signals to investors. While the mutual fund industry's AUM surged to ₹81.58 lakh crore, net outflows stood at a massive ₹64,000 crore, largely driven by exits from debt and liquid funds. Equity funds, however, attracted ₹22,900 crore, with small-cap funds receiving nearly ₹5,000 crore in fresh inflows.
