Festivals like Navratri, Ramleela, Dandiya, and Garba are expected to generate over ₹50,000 crore in business across India, with Delhi alone contributing ₹8,000 crore. These ten-day celebrations drive significant commercial activity, benefiting traders nationwide. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) attributes the surge in demand for Indian-made products to PM Modi's "Vocal for Local" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" initiatives. With over one lakh events across India, including thousands in Delhi, these festivals offer religious, cultural, and social programs that boost employment and increase trade in traditional attire, puja items, food, and decorations. Listen in to Praveen Khandelwal, CAIT Secretary General, New Delhi.
