UltraTech Cement reported a strong Q1 performance, beating Street estimates on revenue, EBITDA, and net profit. The company posted a 17% year-on-year rise in consolidated profit, while sales volumes also recorded healthy growth. Sneha Poddar, AVP Research, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, believes the outlook for the cement sector is improving as infrastructure spending, government capex, and post-monsoon demand are expected to support growth in the second half of FY27. She also expects easing raw material cost pressures and better pricing power to improve margins, making the sector attractive for investors in the coming quarters.
