Speaking to BT TV at Wings 2026, Akasa Air CEO Vinay Dube highlighted the airline’s strong operational and financial momentum, with pilots playing a central role in its journey. Akasa currently operates a fleet of 33 aircraft and continues to post double-digit top-line growth, staying firmly on track with its fleet expansion plans. While early-stage airlines typically operate at a loss, Dube noted that Akasa is financially well ahead of the curve. The airline employs 775 pilots and boasts the highest pilot-to-aircraft ratio in the industry, with every Akasa pilot actively flying. An IPO, he confirmed, is certainly on the cards.
