
At the 550th anniversary celebrations of Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math in Goa, Central Committee Chairman Shrinivas Dempo welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the historic Math, calling it a “shining centre of Sanatan Dharma” since 1475 AD. Speaking on the banks of the Kushavati river, Dempo highlighted the unveiling of a 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram, inaugurated by PM Modi. The week-long Mahotsav, running from November 27 to December 7, features spiritual rituals, cultural programmes and a Ram Naam Jap Abhiyan. Dempo praised the contributions of successive Math leaders in Dharma, culture and social upliftment, and expressed gratitude to Goa Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister Shripad Naik for their support.
