PM Modi’s Big Message To Youth: Border Villages Are India’s First Villages

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with over 400 youth participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme 2026 via video conferencing. Implemented through the MY Bharat platform, the initiative aims to treat border villages as the "first villages" of India rather than remote outposts. Highlighting his personal connection with border regions—including his tradition of spending Diwali with soldiers- PM Modi commended the youth for stepping out of virtual spaces to experience frontier life firsthand. He emphasised that empowered, self-reliant youth and vibrant border infrastructure form the true foundation of a Viksit Bharat.
