Pakistan's own 'Big Billion Day' is going live in a few hours

Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal are online retailers that we in India are familiar with, but ever wondered what's the online retail scene in neighbouring Pakistan?
 
Yes, the ties are really bleak at the moment, but  that does not mean Pakistanis don't deserve heavy discounts from e-tailers.
 
Interestingly, Pakistan's biggest online festival is going live on Wednesday.

GOSF.Live, the website offering the sale, is a collaboration between one of Pakistan's biggest media companies Jang Media Group and Google.
 
GOSF stands for The Great Online Shopping Festival. The three-day festival will offer discounts on different kind of commodities, according to Pakistani media reports.

"Products including air-conditioners, LED TVs, refrigerators, iPhones, jewelry, garments, medicine, food items, domestic appliances, furniture, shoes, children's goods and all that you want or need are available just a click away," Geo News reported.

The website went live on 24 Septembers. Users can 'subscribe' for the products they wish to purchase once the sale opens.

Non-resident Pakistanis can also avail of the offers as the online sale can be accessed globally.

"More than 50 partners, including leading e-commerce, local and online vendors, brands, retail outlets, FMCG, CPG and BFSI, are offering their best deals to customers all across Pakistan and globally for the Pakistani Diaspora for 72 hours," the News website said.

Online shopping seems to be a fad in Pakistan as much as India. There are other online retailers, such as Daraz.pk,  apart from GOSF which are offering discounts too.

The e-retailer is offering online sale between September 26 and September 30, according to a report in the Dawn newspaper.

While tension continues to simmer on the border between India and Pakistan, the news of discounts at least seem to be something common that's keeping people on both sides of the border happy.
