Rakhi Rush
With Raksha Bandhan arriving on August 28, the postal department is preparing for the festive rush. Special arrangements for Rakhi mails will allow people to send emotional gifts and threads of love on time, with dedicated counters opening across Delhi’s key post offices.

Counter Boost
Sending Rakhi parcels in the last days before the festival often becomes stressful, but Delhi Circle is creating a smoother route. Special booking counters at 34 major post offices, along with Delhi and New Delhi railway stations, aim to handle the seasonal surge. (File Photo)

Speed Promise
The Department of Posts is pushing its SPEED POST services as a faster option for festive deliveries. With 24 SPEED POST and 48 SPEED POST facilities, customers can send Rakhi consignments with assured delivery timelines and a money-back guarantee in case of delays.

Deadline Alert
Those planning to send Rakhi through post have a limited window this year. The department has advised customers to book Rakhi mails by August 22 to ensure timely delivery before the festival, making early planning crucial for long-distance celebrations.

Metro Connect
The new festive delivery system is designed to connect Delhi with major cities during the Raksha Bandhan season. The 24 SPEED POST service will focus on six metro cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad — offering faster movement of important parcels.
