Bajaj Auto posts 2 per cent rise in total sales during August

Bajaj Auto on Wednesday reported a 2 per cent increase in total sales in August at 3,41,965 units as against 3,36,840 in the same month of 2014.

"Motorcycle sales during the month also grew by 2 per cent to 2,90,436 units as against 2,84,302 units in August last year", the company said in a Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) filing.

Bajaj Auto's commercial vehicles sales during the month stood at 51,529 units compared with 52,538 units in the year-ago period, a decline of 2 per cent.

"Its exports in August this year came in at 1,81,658 units as against 1,75,127 units a year ago, an increase of 4 per cent", the company said.
