Maruti board okays purchase of land in Gujarat's Mehsana district
Maruti Suzuki India board of directors approve MSI's third manufacturing facility to come up in Gujarat. It will be the company's first major establishment outside its base Haryana.

Maruti Suzuki has granted approval to purchase land in Mehsana district in Gujarat, for future expansion of manufacturing facilities.
Earlier this year, the
car maker had decided to set up a facility in Gujarat. The purchase would be subject to final negotiations on price and all legal formalities being completed.
This would be Maruti's third plant. The other two are in Gurgaon and Manesar in Haryana which have been rocked by workers' strikes in recent months.
