Creative launches Sound Blaster Roar 2 for Rs 16,999

Creative has announced the launch of its Sound Blaster Roar 2 for the Indian market. Priced at Rs 16,999, portable Bluetooth speaker will be available on Amazon India from Mid-May.

Smaller and lighter than the Classic Sound Blaster Roar, the Roar 2 features 5 speaker drivers, electrical design, and inbuilt battery. It can be placed horizontally for room-filling and balanced audio, or vertically for louder and more directed audio. It has also got passive bass radiators.

The speaker features an integrated MicroSD WMA and MP3 player for playing music directly from a microSD card. It even allows to skip folders for easy navigation. There is a built-in microphone providing for clear 360 degree voice pickup for answering calls over the Bluetooth speaker.

It also features an integrated voice recorder that utilizes the speaker's built-in microphone, allowing one-touch recording of all kinds of audio-calls, external voices, or streamed music-directly to an microSD card. The speaker is NFC enabled with multipoint and HD Audio Codec Support.

Creative has also added a bedtime mode where the speaker gradually reduces its volume before automatically shutting down.  It comes with 6000 mAh battery that can not only power up the speaker for up to 8 hours but can also be used as a powerbank to charge smartphones and tablets.
