Union Budget 2026 | Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government remains firmly committed to reform-led growth, fiscal discipline, and people-centric policies. She highlighted sustained economic stability, strong public investment, and the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision that has boosted domestic manufacturing, energy security, and reduced import dependence. Acknowledging global challenges such as disrupted supply chains and rapid technological change, she said India will continue moving towards Vikasit Bharat by balancing ambition with inclusion, strengthening global integration, expanding exports, attracting long-term investment, and ensuring growth benefits reach farmers, youth, women, and marginalised communities.
