In a major embarrassment for China and Pakistan, Indian strikes under Operation Sindoor have exposed the ineffectiveness of Chinese-made weapons. A fully intact PL-15 air-to-air missile was recovered from Punjab’s Hoshiarpur, failing to detonate. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s HQ-9 air defence systems—touted as China’s answer to the S-400—were unable to intercept Indian drones and missiles. The failed response raises serious questions about the credibility of China’s military exports.
