The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), one of India’s richest temples with a net worth of over 3 lakh crore rupees, is at the center of a controversy after a viral video allegedly showing theft of temple donations surfaced. Bhanu Prakash Reddy, a TTD member, claimed that over Rs 100 crore was misappropriated during the YSRCP government. Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh echoed allegations of looting, while the YSRCP demanded a CBI probe. Earlier, TTD faced backlash over adulterated ghee in laddus. Now, the AP High Court has ordered a CID investigation into alleged foreign currency theft, benami property deals, and political links. The controversy has sparked a heated political and public debate.
