Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was travelling aboard a chartered Bombardier Learjet 45 from Mumbai to Baramati when the aircraft crashed during its second landing attempt on Tuesday morning. Flight tracking data shows the jet aborted its first approach before disappearing from radar moments later. Eyewitnesses described a loud explosion as the aircraft burst into flames near the runway. Charred debris was scattered across the airfield. Aviation authorities say poor visibility may have played a role. The DGCA has launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause.
