Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a bold Population Management Policy to combat the state's plummeting Total Fertility Rate, which has hit an all-time low of 1.5. To prevent an aging crisis where 23% of the population could be over 60 by 2047, the government is offering cash incentives: ₹30,000 for a third child and ₹40,000 for a fourth. While Naidu emphasizes that children are "wealth" and essential for economic stability, the opposition has hit back. Congress MP Karti Chidambaram mocked the move, and the YSRCP dismissed it as a political diversion from government failures.
