IndiGo is raising fuel surcharges on domestic and international flights from October 6, 2026, as higher aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices put pressure on airline costs. Domestic fuel charges will now range from ₹375 to ₹1,300 per sector, depending on the distance. International surcharges will vary by region, with increases across several routes. The revised charges will apply to new bookings made from 0001 hours on October 6. ATF prices rose around 13.2% from October 1 to nearly ₹137 per litre, following increases in August and September. The hike comes ahead of the Navratri-Diwali festive travel season, potentially making air travel more expensive.
