“U.P. Is Now In India’s Top 3”: Yogi Adityanath Highlights State’s Economic Transformation

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state’s economic growth and changing image while addressing an appointment-letter distribution programme in Lucknow. Speaking to 1,375 newly selected Gram Panchayat Officers, Yogi said Uttar Pradesh, once counted among India’s five least-developed states, is now among the country’s top three economies. He said the state has tripled its economy, per-capita income and budget size over the past nine to nine-and-a-half years. Yogi also said people from Uttar Pradesh are now treated with greater respect across the country. He credited the transformation to the implementation of government schemes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
